Barbos Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Manchester View Fine Lodging is a fine choice, and the panorama of beautiful Little Equinox is splendid. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Equinox Country Club is close at hand, and on a       pleasant day you can take a hike along the Lye Brook Trail. This spot, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. What would winter be without some skiing at Bromley. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Green Mountains. Lots of folks from Bennington come to Barbos Lake; you're probably addicted to lakes, Lake Madeleine is one of those nearby. Looking for some flowing water?                  Try Norton Brook, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Branch. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Green Mountains. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Barbos Lake called the West Ridge Trail, and Spruce Swamp is an exciting swamp near Barbos Lake. A tremendous site to camp here at Barbos Lake is Howell's Camping Area, and after a long day outdoors Arcady At The Sunderland Lodge is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling right next door to Barbos Lake is Battenkill River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Healing Springs Nature Trail. High temperatures at Barbos Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while Barbos Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. So many entertaining things in the vicinity of Barbos Lake, truly impressive. At Barbos Lake Dam close to Barbos Lake there are some exciting things to see; if you've had enough of Barbos Lake, Hopper Pond is close by.
