It's always fun to stop by Barber Pond. You just must fancy Barber Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Merck Forest Foundation is a glorious location to camp, and don't leave Barber Pond without first going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. | | Inn Bennington is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; why not camp at Shady Acres Campground if you're here at Barber Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Walloomsac River is so much fun, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Bennington here. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are really abundant here at Barber Pond. Very lovely scenery and tremendous skiing is what you get at Jiminy Peak; great hiking is available along the Taconic Crest Trail. | |

Enjoy a round of golf at MT Anthony Country Club not far from Barber Pond, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Greylock Ski Club is a perfect site to do that. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Barber Pond Dam;
if you need a location to stay Green Valley Motel is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Barber Pond; Williams Trail is a glorious local trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Green
River. Through the warm days of summer here at Barber Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's,
and through the dark hours in the winter at Barber Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. You'll find a delightful lake called South Stream Pond near Barber Pond, and from Barber Pond you get a nice sight of The Dome.
