Beautiful Barber Pond has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Green River, and a fine nearby hotel is Midtown Motel. A common amount of rain falls here at Barber Pond; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's so much to do here at Barber Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Acres Campground is a magnificent

| | spot for that; hiking along the Taconic Crest Trail is wonderful fun. The skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club is wonderful; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Walloomsac River. If you need a spot to stay Knights Inn Bennington is a splendid choice, and an interesting thing to check out close to Barber Pond is Barber Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Club is a splendid golf course nearby; The Dome is beautiful and can be spotted from here. Take a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail; you'll almost certainly meet some people from Bennington here. Having a brilliant time at Barber Pond
is painless. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Jiminy Peak. If you came to camp Merck Forest Foundation is a great place to do that, and a lake nearby is South Stream Pond. All through the summertime months highs here at Barber
Pond reach the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Barber Pond through the wintertime generally descend into the 0's.
