Get wet paddling on Clyde River, and do take a hike on the Main Trail. Eagle Point is nearby and always delightful to go to, and paddling on Nulhegan River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Mountains, just mind-boggling. Lakeside Camping Area is a good local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Pine Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains. After a long day
outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a good place to spend a night or two, and the Shore Trail offers hiking at its best. Lightning Brook is a pretty stream that is worth visiting; everybody close by loves skiing at Lyndon Outing Club.
The yearly rainfall here at Back Pond is about average; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
