If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Back Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Not far from Back Pond you can enjoy the trees of Brighton Municipal Forest, and Burke Mountain is a good local ski area. All through the summer at Back Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. | | 20's with temperatures at Back Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Clyde River, and do take a hike on the Main Trail. Eagle Point is nearby and always delightful to go to, and paddling on Nulhegan River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Burke Mountain Campgrounds is a brilliant campground nearby.

Mountains, just mind-boggling. Lakeside Camping Area is a good local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Pine Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains. After a long day
outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a good place to spend a night or two, and the Shore Trail offers hiking at its best. Lightning Brook is a pretty stream that is worth visiting; everybody close by loves skiing at Lyndon Outing Club.
The yearly rainfall here at Back Pond is about average; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
