Try Howe Brook. Hit the slopes at Living Memorial Park nearby. There's whitewater on Williams River for all you adrenaline people, and don't leave Athens Pond without first going for a hike along the Overlook Trail. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Athens Pond get       into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Athens Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. There are pleasant places to look at along the Hamilton Falls Trail; Townshend Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Everyday Inn is a delightful spot to get some rest, and the summit of Bear Hill can be made out from                  Athens Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Saxton's River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Athens Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camperama. This lake is so wonderful. Magic Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Hotel and Conference Center of Brattleboro. This place, Athens Pond, it clearly has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. While you're here at Athens Pond, you could also take a look at wonderful Watson Pond, and going for a hike on the Railroad Bed Trail is always a good adventure.
