Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Bear Hill Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Silver Lake Family Campground is a tremendous spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is nice on White River, and going for a hike along the Mount Peg Foot and Bridal Trails will let you absorb the natural       beauty of this area. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Green Mountains. Get soaked paddling on White River - First Branch, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Twin Farms while you're here. From a rainfall point of view Ansel Pond is a rather typical spot; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. And if that's not enough                  there's a heap more amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Take a little trip to Cleveland Brook if you're here at Ansel Pond, and North Star Lodge is a magnificent site to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Randolph Reservoir near Ansel Pond; if you need a place to stay The Woodstock Inn & Resort is a perfect choice. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Ansel Pond. At Bethel Mills Dam close to Ansel Pond there are some interesting things to see. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Suicide Six; if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Montague Golf Club. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Ansel Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ansel Pond are in the 0's.
