Abbey Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Mad River Glen, and float down the rapids of New Haven River in a kayak. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sugarbush if you're here, and there are other spots here than Abbey Pond, for example Middlebury Water Supply. On a great day at Abbey Pond you can take a hike along the Beaver Meadow Trail, and

| | while you're here you can take a hike along the Abbey Pond Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. The summit of Robert Frost Mountain can be observed from Abbey Pond, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Beaver Meadow is right nearby. and Dow Pond is a splendid lake nearby. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Abbey Pond is great!. A normal amount of rain falls here at Abbey Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with
the least moisture. A brilliant close by hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury. There's so much to do here at Abbey Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Green Mountain Family Campground is a good site for that. This
lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Maple Hill Campsites is a magnificent place to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Middlebury River. Abbey Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so
wonderful. Not far from Abbey Pond you can enjoy the trees of Middleblury Municipal Forest, and after a long day outdoors The Middlebury Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.

 | White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. Country Village Campgrounds
 | 11 miles away 1 PHOTO Tent Sites, RV Hookups, Pets OK, Fires OK, Store, Nearby Grocery, Pool... - 36 RV hookups... ...middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine. At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next... |

 | 14 miles away Been to Chittenden Brook Campgound for the last 15 years now...Best place I have ever camped anywhere in New England...Great babbling brook, thick woods..and not many camp sites!! This is true rustic camping...the only things offered at the campground is an outhouse and a brook for bathing..(coldest water I've ever been in).. wonderful hiking trails... beautiful beaver pond.... and generally some wonderful people around to sit around a fire with!!... |
