A glorious nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Petersburg, and there are plenty of folks from Richmond here. Woodys Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Woodys Pond get into the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. For the duration       of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Woodys Pond all through the wintertime commonly sink into the 20's. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Woodys Dam right next door to Woodys Pond, and whitewater paddling is good on Appomattox River. Just can't get enough of Woodys Pond. Petersburg-Days Inn Fort Lee/South is a wonderful spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at South Forty                  Camp Resort, and a delightful lake like Lees Millpond is a splendid spot to have a look at.
