Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. While you're here at Woodglen Lake you can take a hike along the Gold Mine Trail, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Accotink Creek. There's some flowing water nearby, East Fork Popes Head Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay; this is a popular place for people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria. For the period of the       summer at Woodglen Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Woodglen Lake descend into the 20's. A common amount of rain falls here at Woodglen Lake; during May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. There is a great hiking trail next to Woodglen Lake called the Potomac Heritage                  Trail, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn University Center is a perfect choice.
