Why not stop by Willow Lake if you're passing through these parts. While you're here at Willow Lake you can take a hike along the Shillings Trail. There's so much to do here at Willow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Montebello Camping Resort is a good site for that. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Sengers Mountain Lake is around here, and Koogler Dam is delightful. For the period of the months of summer

Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Willow Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Inn. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Willow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Tye River Gap Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Willow Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation;
the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February. So many amusing things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at
close by Walace Lake, and paddling on Marl Creek - South R.Trib is so much fun. Get drenched paddling on Irish Creek; do take a hike on the Cold Spring Bald Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to run into some
nice folks from Staunton-Waynesboro here, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Stony Run Trail.

 | 15 miles away Well me and my family have been going to Sharando Lake ever since I was born and we havn't gone anywhere else I love sherando and I can't wait to go back for another memorable camping weekend!...As close to perfect a camping experience as you can get: 1) Private, secluded, spacious campsites 2)access to flush toilets and showers, 3) a breathtakingly beautiful lake/swim area 4)hiking trails. WORD OF CAUTION: in-season, all sites are snapped up by Thurday noon for the weekend. Come on Sunday for best selection or before Thursday if you want a shot at a campsite. They don't take reservations (as of 8/2006) Wish they would so everyone could have a shot at a weekend camping trip there, not just the locals who can zip in and set a few camping chairs on the sites on Thursday to claim it for the weekend. ... |
