In Virginia there are many beautiful lakes, Whites Pond is one of them. People from Charlottesville love to come to Whites Pond; a wonderful location nearby is Saddle Hollow. If you came to camp Misty Mountain Camp Resort is a nice site to do that, and dry warm beds await you at Boars Head Inn. On a pleasant day at Whites Pond you can take a hike along the Turk Branch Trail, and the scenery at Whites Dam is beautiful.

If you like skiing, you're in luck; Wintergreen is near Whites Pond. You definitely have to fancy Whites Pond. There is a nice hiking trail near Whites Pond called the Turk Mountain Trail, and you obtain a tremendous panorama of Little Yellow Mountain from here.

Sportsman Lake is a lake that's right next door to Whites Pond; going for a hike on the Sawmill Ridge Trail is always a good adventure. An average amount of precipitation falls at Whites Pond; August is the wettest month with most
rain; the driest month of the year is January. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Moormans River, and Quality Inn Waynesboro is a glorious spot to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on South
River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and camping at Loft Mountain Campgrounds is always a pleasant experience. Summertime highs at Whites Pond typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. The
cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Whites Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
