Looking for something close to Walton Lake? Fish Pond is in the vicinity, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hardware River - South Fork. So much exciting stuff to do here at Walton Lake, too glorious to be true. A good nearby hotel is Longacre Bed & Breakfast, and why       not camp at James River Runners if you're here at Walton Lake. Walton Lake gets a lot of water; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June. Take a little spree to Little Creek while you're here at Walton Lake, and Rucker Run is a glorious whitewater spot close by. At Walton Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter highs are                  in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Walton Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
