This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Staunton/ Mint Springs is a good choice; Sengers Mountain Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Upper Wallace Dam is a beautiful spot close to Walace Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Marl       Creek - South R.Trib. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A lake close by is Rhema Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Staunton-Waynesboro here. During the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Walace Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Walace Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. What a place this                  is for outdoors people. Wintergreen is a very popular ski area nearby; Walnut Hills Campground is a good campground nearby. On a brilliant day at Walace Lake you can take a hike along the Cold Spring Bald Mountain Trail. If you're here at Walace Lake, you could go to Cold Spring Branch, and if you came for an overnight stay Stoney Creek Resort is a perfect place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. The Stony Run Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Walace Lake; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Kennedy Ridge Trail. Walace Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So much enjoyable stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just fantastic.
