The warmest time of the year at Walace Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Walace Lake plunge into the 10's. Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the       Stony Run Trail, and the snow is splendid at Wintergreen. This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Upper Wallace Dam since you're here at Walace Lake, and camping at Stoney Creek Resort is always a good experience. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Glide down the rapids of Marl Creek - South R.Trib in a kayak; if you've had enough of Walace Lake, Lake Wilda is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Cold Spring                  Bald Mountain Trail; if you need a place to stay Raphine-Days Inn is a pleasant choice. You absolutely have to love the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors Staunton - Days Inn Mint Springs is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and some of the water nearby flows, like Cold Spring Branch. There are plenty of folks from Staunton-Waynesboro here at Walace Lake, and going for a hike along the Kennedy Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hattons Pond is in the vicinity of Walace Lake. An average amount of precipitation falls at Walace Lake; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. What a spot this is for outdoors folks.
