If you need a location to stay Howard Johnson Inn - Virginia Beach is a good choice, and hiking along the High Dune Trail is great fun. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Little Creek, and Desert Cove is very near and is a good site to have a look at. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Chub Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Osmanthus Trail. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Summertime highs at Varian Lake generally tend to be in the 80's; the overnight is a tad chillier of
course, mostly in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Varian Lake are in the 30's. Golf can be played at Cypress Point Golf Club; Varian Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Providence Mobile Court is a nice location to camp nearby.
