Do stop by Valley Lake while you're in this part of Virginia. This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Having a tremendous time at Valley Lake is painless. After a long day outdoors Inn at Norton is a great location to spend a night or two; Valley Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Jessie Lea Recreational Vehicle Park-Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Valley

| | Lake to make out the water at Rimrock Lake Dam, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Pine Mountain Trail.
A quick tour to Benges Branch close to Valley Lake is a brilliant idea, and not far from Valley Lake you'll discover Upper Norton Reservoir which is a charming lake. on up to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. A good spot for whitewater paddling near Valley Lake is Powell River - South Fork. Lakes? Sure, Big Cherry Reservoir is around here.
These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable
stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Powell River, and a good location to camp here at Valley Lake is Bark Campground. Summertime highs at Valley Lake commonly tend to
be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Valley Lake. The amount of rain that falls
at Valley Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful.
