If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express ORANGE is a fine choice; Upper Lake is right by the Ridge Trail. A good close by hotel is Red Carpet Inn Orange, and camping at Cedar Mountain Campground is always a good experience. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Upper Lake. Looking for something       in close proximity to Upper Lake? Taylors Pond is in the neighborhood, and paddling on Robinson River is so much fun. Get dripping wet paddling on Hughes River and Hazel River, and Hartland-Hall Dam Number Two is not far at all from Upper Lake. Summertime highs at Upper Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Upper Lake                  are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Pine Hill Gap Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sams Ridge Trail is tremendous fun; why not stop by nearby Beaverdam Run if you're here at Upper Lake.
