The warmest time of the year at Travis Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's while Travis Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Anna River. There's so much to do here at       Travis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campground 721 is a wonderful location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Fredericksburg South, VA is a magnificent choice; if you're here you can take a hike along the Coon Trail. Travis Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Just can't get enough                  of Travis Lake. A brilliant location for whitewater paddling right next door to Travis Lake is Rappahannock River, and the Gracik Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. You're sure to bump into some friendly people from Richmond here. Not far from Travis Lake you obtain some good water scenery at Travis Lower Dam, and Travis Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Acres Family Campground is a pleasant local campground.
