For the period of the summer highs here at Tippecanoe Lake reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Tippecanoe Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. What a location this is for outdoors folks. The Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Potomac River. While you're here       at Tippecanoe Lake, you could also stop at stunning Alder Lake; there's splendid hiking along the Paw Paw Passage Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Goose Creek, and wonderful hiking is available along the Potomac Heritage Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Catoctin Mountain Park is worthwhile. For you golfers we recommend close by Poolesville Golf Course, and Embassy Suites Hotel Dulles-North/Loudoun,                  VA is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Tippecanoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Turtle Run Campground is a nice place for that, and Dulles Airport Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Tippecanoe Lake gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is May while February is typically the driest month. A wonderful close by hotel is Homewood Suites by Hilton Dulles-North/Loudoun, VA.
