Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Timber Lake. After a long day outdoors Marriott Fairfax at Fair Oaks is a magnificent site to spend a night or two, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Potomac River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Timber Lake a wet place; during May this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Difficult Run; Timberlake Dam is picturesque. Little Difficult Run is a pretty stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful.
