If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Warrenton is a tremendous choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Thorn Pond; Jackson Trail is a pleasant local trail. Camping is available at Wilderness Presidential Resort, and swing by Hazel River it's a great site to stop by. High temperatures at Thorn Pond throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Throughout       the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Thorn Pond temperatures fall to the 20's.
