All the water falling down from the sky makes Thorn Pond a wet location; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Don't forget to take a nice little journey to Hazel River, and a round of golf at nearby South Wales Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. Thorn Pond is a great place to visit for more       than one day, Rappahannock River Campground is a great place to camp nearby; you'll locate a beautiful lake called Brandy Rock Farm Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Thorn Pond, you could also stop at lovely Hawkins Lake; dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn - Warrenton. Near Thorn Pond you find the Jackson Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This location is great, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood                  of Thorn Pond.
