Thompson Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Thompson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A lake nearby is Mathews Pond, and hiking along the Belle Meade Linden Trail is tremendous fun. All through the warmest time of the year here at Thompson Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures
