Beaver Dam is worth checking out if you're here; during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Richmond for sure. High temperatures at Third Branch Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Beaver Lake close to Third Branch Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Appomattox River.
