Prince William Forest Park is a perfect location in the neighborhood of Third Branch Lake; you can stay the night at Pocahontas State Park. Third Branch Lake is a relatively wet place regularly with lots of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. A nice forest in close proximity to Third Branch Lake is Pocahontas State Forest.

| | There's so much to do here at Third Branch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Passages Adventure Camp is a good site for that. All through the summer months at Third Branch Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Third Branch Lake tend to be in the 20's.

event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Appomattox River, and this is a popular spot for folks from Richmond. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Richmond South West Hull St., and
if you've had enough of Third Branch Lake, Swift Creek Lake is nearby. This place, Third Branch Lake, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Midlothian/Richmond Area is a good
choice, and James River is a fine whitewater spot nearby.
While you're here at Third Branch Lake you can play some golf at Birkdale Golf Club; wonderful water scenery is available at Beaver Dam right next door to Third Branch
Lake. Third Branch Lake is not the only place close by, Beaver Lake is a close by lake, and swing by Third Branch it's a tremendous place to visit.
