It's always fun to stop by Switzer Lake. Hiking along the Road Run Trail is splendid fun, and there are plenty of people from Harrisonburg here. Switzer Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. An average amount of precipitation falls at Switzer Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and January is the month with the least moisture.

Switzer Lake, it's a lovely lake, and an attention-grabbing thing to go to in the neighborhood of Switzer Lake is Switzer Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Slate Springs Mountain Trail, and let's
not forget Payne Run which is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. High temperatures at Switzer Lake all through the warm months are in the 80's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's.
For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Switzer Lake are in the 10's.
What a site this is for outdoors folks. If you come at the right time of year, Dry River offers
some great whitewater, and a splendid spot to camp here at Switzer Lake is Bandywine Lake Campground. Middle Mountain is beautiful and can be distinguished from Switzer Lake; dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Harrisonburg, VA.
