Sweeney Dam is worth checking out since you're here, and if you came for an overnight stay Cedar Mountain Campground is a great spot to camp. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rush River; Liverman Pond is a fine lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. They think they own the river itself. Just a heads up....Some B and B's are near the put-in and take-out for the Hughes.
