The       Sawdust Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Mechumps Dam. Summer at Sturgeon Hole arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Sturgeon Hole. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Sturgeon Hole, you'll discover Mechumps Pond which is a delightful lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cedar Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Little River - North Anna Tributary offers some delightful whitewater.
