After a long day outdoors Valley Inns is a fine site to spend a night or two; camping is available at Battle Of Cedar Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cedar Creek, and while you're here, you could also stop by delightful Strasburg Reservoir. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things       close to Strasburg Reservoir. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Do schedule some time to pop by Sandy Hook right next door to Strasburg Reservoir if you have a chance, and if you're visiting from Winchester, you won't be the only one. All through the summer highs here at Strasburg Reservoir get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Strasburg                  Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hupp Hill is scenic and can be made out from Strasburg Reservoir, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Bear Wallow Trail. The Signal Knob Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Strasburg Reservoir, and if you have the time, Shenandoah National Park is a national park worth stopping at. Having a brilliant time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. A quick journey to Cedar Spring Run close to Strasburg Reservoir is a great idea, and the scenery at Strasburg Dam is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Passage Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and if you came for an overnight stay Skyline Ranch Resort is a magnificent place to camp. Strasburg Reservoir gets a common amount of yearly rain; July is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
