There's tremendous hiking along the Dickey Hill Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Happy Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Do have a look at Stephens Park Dam since you're here at Stephens Park Lake. Lakes are great; Lakeside Lake is a lake that's near Stephens Park Lake. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more cool things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping at Stephens Park       Lake is good fun, Front Royal Koa Kampground is a good local campground; glorious hiking is available along the Shawl Gap Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Go for a hike on the Signal Knob Trail, and after a long day outdoors Redwood Budget Motel is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Stephens Park Lake is a perfect place to camp, Candy Hill Campground is                  a perfect place. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Stephens Park Lake rocks! An afternoon playing golf at Carper's Valley Golf Club is always a pleasure, and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Winchester, VA is a nice place to get some rest. Stephens Park Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Stephens Park Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Stephens Park Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cedar Creek; at Stephens Park Lake you always meet someone from Winchester.
