Elkhorn Mountain is clearly visible from Staunton Reservoir; nearby you find good places like Daggy Camp Hollow. Lakes are fine; Elkhorn Lake is       a lake that's in the vicinity of Staunton Reservoir, and do take a hike on the North River Gorge Trail. There's so much to do here at Staunton Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, North River Campground is a nice place for that, and going for a hike along the Little Skidmore Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
