Tributary; not far from Staunton Reservoir you'll locate Stark Pond which is a stunning lake. Holiday Inn Staunton-Golf & Conf Ctr, Va is a pleasant location to get some rest, and nice water scenery is available at       Staunton Dam in close proximity to Staunton Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Staunton-Waynesboro here; the North River Gorge Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Jennings Branch is a delightful whitewater spot next to Staunton Reservoir. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Staunton Reservoir called the Bear Draft Trail, and here at Staunton Reservoir you can spot Elkhorn Mountain. For the                  period of the summertime at Staunton Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Staunton Reservoir. Staunton Reservoir is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Stokesville Park Recreational is a fine site to camp nearby, and nearby you find the Little Skidmore Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Daggy Camp Hollow is a nice location to spend some time at, and let's not forget Broad Run which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. If you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Express Inn Staunton is a great choice, and North River Campground is a great local campground.
