    In Virginia there are many beautiful lakes, Stark Pond is one of them. The amount of precipitation that falls at Stark Pond is close to the national average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. Going for a hike along the Dividing Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you can run the rapids of Little River - North R. Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. The good folks  
   of Staunton-Waynesboro like to hang out nearby.
Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in close proximity to Stark Pond. Take a little journey to Mitchell Branch while you're here at Stark Pond, and why not camp at Stokesville Park Recreational if you're here at Stark Pond. Big Bald Knob is a peak you can see from Stark Pond, and a nice place to camp here at Stark Pond is North River Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Hickory Hill Cabins & Motel is
 
               a pleasant spot to get some rest; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Ramseys Draft Trail.
During the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Stark Pond. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Stark Pond drop into the 10's. Calfpasture River is a fine whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Stark Pond, and a good close by hotel is Shenandoah Mountain Inn. While you're here at Stark Pond you can take a hike along the Bald Knob Trail, and while you're here, you might as well check out Horse Trough Hollow.
