If you are in Patrick county it's always a good idea to stop by Squall Creek Pond. After a long day outdoors Woodberry Inn & Restaurant is a great place to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Run Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Barnard Creek is in the vicinity of Squall Creek Pond and is always a delight to have a look at, and do take a hike on the Fire Trail. So many entertaining

| | things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just extraordinary. A tremendous close by hotel is Blue Ridge Motel & Restaurant, and this is a popular place for folks from Mount Airy. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Dam on Headwaters of Squall Creek Dam near Squall Creek Pond is pretty. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Squall Creek Pond has to offer, you can camp at Meadows Of Dan Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue | |

Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is great fun; if you wish for a little side trip, try Hickory Cove. During the days of summer highs here at Squall Creek Pond get into the 80's. Summer
nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Squall Creek Pond temperatures sink to the 20's. If you come at the right time of year, Dan River offers
some wonderful whitewater; Cedar Bluff is clearly visible from Squall Creek Pond. Squall Creek Pond gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month.
Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Squall Creek Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Dan River. There's so much to do here at Squall Creek Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Deer Run Campground is a nice place for that.
