Get drenched paddling on Dan River, and Willville Bike Camp is a glorious campground nearby. If you need a place to stay Knights Inn Mt Airy-Mayberry is a magnificent choice; nice hiking is available along the Run Trail. The yearly precipitation here at Squall Creek Pond is about average; during May this area sees the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a       good time. There's delightful hiking along the Fire Trail, and Microtel Suites Mt. Airy is a fine place to get some rest. And if that's not enough there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Visit Barnard Creek while you're here at Squall Creek Pond, and glide down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lakes are splendid; Talbott                  Reservoir is a lake that's near Squall Creek Pond, and Squall Creek Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Meadows Of Dan Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Dam on Headwaters of Squall Creek Dam has great water scenery and it's near Squall Creek Pond, and a splendid location is Hickory Cove. During the warm days of summer highs here at Squall Creek Pond get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Squall Creek Pond drop into the 20's. Cedar Bluff is trouble-free to spot from Squall Creek Pond; the Moores Knob Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for people from Mount Airy; you're perhaps into lakes, Townes Reservoir is one of those close by. Squall Creek Pond is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
