Craig Creek
 | 13 miles away I've never kayaked this stretch of Craig's Creek, but it is not the ONLY stretch by far! We spent 10 days in a lovely VRBO.com riverfront vacation rental downstream from New Castle, and kayaked both up and down the river multiple times, even though the area was in the middle of a bad drought. We will be renting in Roaring Run this year, which is according to the owner kayakable for the 5 miles to where it meets the James River. There is a very nice pull out/picnic spot where the two meet, and plenty of room to park. Take time out to splash around as well. I've never seen a river this clean before!... |
