If you are in Buena Vista (city) county it's always a good idea to stop by Spring Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Hay's Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Lexington Super 8 Motel is a nice site to spend a night or two. The annual rain here at Spring Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Chalk Mine Run is a pleasant location to

| | go to, and the vista of Elephant Mountain is scenic. For the duration of the summertime at Spring Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. is next to Spring Lake and is undeniably a glorious spot to take a look at, and the Cashaw Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Spring Lake to catch a sight of the water at
Keys Mill Dam; hiking is a popular thing to do around Spring Lake; Rocky Row Trail is a pleasant local trail. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Piney Ridge Trail; if you came to camp Shady Mountain Campground is a tremendous
site to do that. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Wingate by Wyndham - Lexington, and camping at Oronoco Campground is always a wonderful experience. Spring Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
