From a precipitation point of view Spring Lake is a relatively normal place; most of the rain falls all through August, and January is the month with the least moisture. Super 8 Motel - Bedford/Roanoke Area is a splendid location to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on North Creek. Spring Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Eagle's Roost is a nice location to camp nearby,       and if you come at the right time of year, Jennings Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. High temperatures at Spring Lake through the summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Spring Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Spring Lake you hit upon the Fallingwater Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; Booker                  T Washington National Monument is one of the destinations that are brilliant to explore nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Smith Mountain Lake State Park; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Flat Top Mountain Trail. You truly should like Spring Lake. If you get bored of Spring Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Saunders Pond, and at Spring Dam close to Spring Lake there are some exciting things to see. If you need a spot to stay Bedford Days Inn is a great choice, and why not check out nearby Shoulder Run while you're here at Spring Lake.
