You'll locate a beautiful lake called Bedford Lake near Spring Hill Lake; after a long day outdoors Peaks of Otter Wilderness Lodge is a fine place to spend a night or two. From a rainfall point of view Spring Hill Lake is a reasonably normal location; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is January. At Spring Hill Lake through the summer highs are in the       80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Spring Hill Lake are in the 20's. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Creek; the views at Booker T Washington National Monument will blow your mind. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. Spring                  Hill Lake Dam is a location that is right next door to Spring Hill Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Bedford/Roanoke Area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Spring Hill Lake without first going for a hike along the Hunting Creek Trail, and Jennings Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Bedford Reservoir near Spring Hill Lake. Yogi Bear's Jellystone At Natural Bridge is a tremendous local campground, and going for a hike on the Flat Top Mountain Trail is always a pleasant adventure.
