You don’t have to go far from Soldiers Pond to see the water at Soldiers Pond Dam; if you've had enough of Soldiers Pond, Hanzlik Pond is nearby. 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Soldiers Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have
a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on James River, obviously you could also visit Sykes Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Soldiers Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Roadrunner
Campground is a brilliant local campground; Harrison Creek is next to Soldiers Pond and is always a delight to stop by.
