Very pretty scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Massanutten, and Best Western Waynesboro Inn & Suites Conf Ctr is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Smith Lake, you could also check out close by Massie Pond, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Sawmill Ridge Trail. Summertime highs at Smith Lake commonly tend to be       in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Smith Lake plunge into the 10's.
