Go to Sleeter Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Simpsons Creek is a charming stream that is worth going to, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Loudoun Heights Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Harpers Ferry/washington Dc Nw Koa, and do take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Sleeter Lake Dam is a scenic location in close proximity to Sleeter Lake; a lake nearby is Precision Dynamics Lake. Sleeter Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.

cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Sleeter Lake.
