Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Skidmore Fork Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Skidmore Fork Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Massanutten. This lake is so wonderful. Skidmore Fork Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Stokesville Park Recreational is a good       local campground, and Switzer Dam is beautiful. It's a nice idea to have a look at Payne Run, it's near Skidmore Fork Lake, and you could always explore Dunkle Hollow. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Harrisonburg here, and the Road Run Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do close to Skidmore Fork Lake. At Skidmore Fork Lake you can make out Middle Mountain, and Skidmore Fork Lake is right by the Slate Springs Mountain Trail.
