High temperatures at Silver Lake during the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Silver Lake are in the 10's. Yeah, come here to Silver Lake for a fine time.       Mill Pond Spring is always fun to check out. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site to camp here at Silver Lake is KOA Campgrounds, and playing golf is lots of fun at Heritage Oaks Golf Course. The snow is great at Bryce Resort, and there are other places here than Silver Lake, for example Newman Lake. So much cool stuff to do here at Silver Lake, too magnificent to be true. A perfect close by hotel is Hampton Inn Harrisonburg South; the panorama of Mole                  Hill is pretty. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Massanutten, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Dictum Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Second Mountain Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Silver Lake, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Harrisonburg for sure. A normal amount of rain falls here at Silver Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is January. Near Silver Lake you find the Mud Pond Gap Trail which is a great hiking trail, and lakes are such calm locations, why not visit Shenandoah Lake.
