This is a popular place for people from Harrisonburg, and the peak of Mole Hill can be observed from Silver Lake. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Mill Pond Spring, and a good site to camp here at Silver Lake is KOA Campgrounds. But wait, there's more to do close to Silver Lake. There's magnificent hiking along the Second Mountain Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing       at Massanutten. There are other places here than Silver Lake, for example Shenandoah Lake, and if you're here you can play some golf at Heritage Oaks Golf Course. The annual rain here at Silver Lake is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Just can't get enough of Silver Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
