There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Candy Hill Campground is a glorious location for that. Going for a hike along the Little Passage Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a magnificent location for whitewater paddling is Back Creek - Potomac Tributary. Silver Lake Dam is a spot that is in the vicinity of Silver Lake, and       do pop by Cattail Run while you're here at Silver Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Silver Lake. Hiking along the Old Romney Grade is splendid fun, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Winchester is a good choice. While you're here at Silver Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Winchester, and if the weather is pretty, you get a great vista of Babbs Mountain from Silver                  Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious nearby hotel is Courtyard by Marriott Winchester, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Signal Knob Trail. Silver Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Log Cabin Campground is a wonderful local campground, and playing golf is lots of fun at Rock Harbor Golf Course. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Silver Lake.
