Go to Sherando Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Reids Gap is a splendid spot to look at. There's so much to do here at Sherando Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sherando Lake Campground is a great site for that. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Sherando Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. | | a hike along the Mills Creek Trail, and a pretty lake like Mountain Lake is a splendid place to stop by.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling near Sherando Lake is Tye River - North Fork, and there's some flowing water nearby, North Fork Back Creek is a stream you can stop at while here. The Turkey Pen Ridge Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in the vicinity of Sherando Lake, and Falling Rocks Lake is a great lake nearby. This | |

Sherando Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Kennedy Fields Campgrounds is a delightful local campground. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Waynesboro Inn & Suites Conf Ctr, and do visit Sherando Dam since you're
here. At Sherando Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Sherando Lake dipping
down into the 10's through winter nights.
Just can't get enough of Sherando Lake. Here at Sherando Lake you'll possibly meet some people from Staunton-Waynesboro. But wait, there's more to do next to Sherando Lake. The snow is glorious at Wintergreen; the view of pretty Kelley Mountain is great.
