Sheppe Pond is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful location to camp here at Sheppe Pond is Wildwood Campground, and Red Carpet Inn Lexington is a great site to get some rest. So many amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not enough time. Cushaw Dam is a place that is in the neighborhood of Sheppe Pond; float down the rapids of Hay's Creek in a kayak. High temperatures       at Sheppe Pond during the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sheppe Pond are in the 20's. This site, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone At Natural Bridge is always a fine experience, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Piney Ridge Trail. A quick tour to                  Cashaw Creek right next door to Sheppe Pond is a perfect idea, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Cashaw Creek Trail. Big Rocky Row is scenic and can be distinguished from Sheppe Pond, and Sheppe Pond is right next door to Cedar Bridge Hollow which is absolutely worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. Sheppe Pond is a location with many visitors from Lynchburg, and if you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn is a wonderful choice. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are truly plentiful here at Sheppe Pond. Lakes are glorious; Cushaw Reservoir is a lake that's near Sheppe Pond; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Rocky Row Trail. Sheppe Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
