    The beauty of Shenandoah Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Shenandoah Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 30's while Shenandoah Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A great nearby hotel is Quality Inn Shenandoah Valley, and there  
   are tremendous places to look at along the Stony Run Trail.
From a rain point of view Shenandoah Reservoir is a reasonably common site; May is the wettest month with most rain; January is when it's the driest. This is a popular spot for people from Harrisonburg. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Jayho Hollow is always fun, and why not head up to Massanutten and strap some skis to your feet.
But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge
 
               Mountains. Why not go to Shenandoah Dam if you're here; going for a hike on the Hanse Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure. So much cool stuff to do here at Shenandoah Reservoir, too tremendous to be true. Drift down the rapids of Shenandoah River - South Fork in a kayak, and don't leave Shenandoah Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Beldor Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors New Market Days Inn Battlefield is a great site to spend a night or two; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lynch River.
Visiting Shenandoah National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; a good spot to camp here at Shenandoah Reservoir is Riverside Camping and Canoeing. Having a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is simple. It's a great idea to take a look at Humes Run, it's in close proximity to Shenandoah Reservoir; why not camp at Harrisonburg- New Market Koa since you're here at Shenandoah Reservoir.
