Scotts Pond is a reasonably wet place usually with a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most; April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Chisel Run is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at, and there are wonderful locations to discover along the James River Trail. Here at Scotts Pond you'll probably meet some folks       from Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News, and camping at Anvil Campground is always a nice experience. Summer at Scotts Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Scotts Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. If you came to camp Williamsburg Pottery Campground is a great location to do that; going for a hike on the                  College Run Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a splendid time at Scotts Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Williamsburg is a perfect place to get some rest, and Wabden Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. If you need a spot to stay Williamsburg Plantation is a great choice, and don't leave Scotts Pond without first going for a hike along the Forestry Trail.
