Rainbow Lake is right by the Little Passage Trail. Super 8 Motel - Middletown is a glorious spot to get some rest, and a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is Back Creek - Potomac Tributary. A common amount of rain falls here at Rainbow Lake; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. Keckley Run is next to Rainbow Lake and is always a joy to visit, and Clowser       Gap is a tremendous spot to visit. This is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes. Emerald Lake is a lake close at hand, and there are plenty of folks from Winchester here at Rainbow Lake. High temperatures at Rainbow Lake all through the summertime months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Rainbow Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are                  in the 10's. This place, Rainbow Lake, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Signal Knob Trail, and why not take a look at Crystal Dam if you're here.
