During your spree to Rainbow Lake you'll meet some people from Winchester for sure, and camping is available at Candy Hill Campground. Any time is a good time at Rainbow Lake if you like the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cedar Creek, unsurprisingly you could also visit Beaver Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather       is perfect here at Rainbow Lake, you can go for a hike along the Signal Knob Trail; dry warm beds await you at Hayfield Motel. The Little Passage Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Rainbow Lake, and why not take a little journey to Keckley Run while you're here. At Rainbow Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures                  at Rainbow Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a sight of at Crystal Dam near Rainbow Lake, and a great spot to camp here at Rainbow Lake is Cove Campgrounds. While staying at Rainbow Lake you could always look at Clowser Gap, and if you need a place to stay Mountain View Effeciency Apartments is a magnificent choice. Rainbow Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is July; February on the other hand is the driest.
