An afternoon playing golf at Ole Monterey Golf Club is always a joy, and Holiday Inn Express TROUTVILLE - ROANOKE NORTH is a tremendous place to get some rest. So much cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains,       not enough time. Going for a hike along the Spec Mines Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; James River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Curry Creek Trail, and Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a great local campground. Summer at Rainbow Forest Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs                  through the wintertime are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rainbow Forest Lake. You can run the rapids of Catawba Creek in the neighborhood of Rainbow Forest Lake, and the summit of Coyner Mountain can be distinguished from Rainbow Forest Lake. If the weather is pleasant here at Rainbow Forest Lake, you can go for a hike along the Hammond Hollow Trail, and Booker T Washington National Monument is one of the destinations that are fine to take a look at nearby. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A great close by hotel is Red Roof Inn Roanoke - Troutville, and Grindstone - George Washington National Forest is a magnificent campground nearby.
