This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cold Spring Bald Mountain Trail, and Microtel Inn Staunton is a great location to get some rest. Lake Quarles is right by the Kennedy Ridge Trail, and paddling on Tye River - South Fork is so much fun. Head up to Wintergreen and strap some skis to your feet. During the warmest time of the year here at Lake Quarles,

| | high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Quarles are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Stoney Creek Resort is a glorious location to camp; here at Lake Quarles you can make out Russell Rock. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Quarles; Stony Run Trail is a tremendous local trail; if you need a location to stay Days Inn Staunton/ Mint Springs is a good choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near
Lake Quarles. Lake Wilda is a nearby lake that you could pop by; Tye River - North Fork has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. The amount of rain that falls at Lake Quarles is close to the national average; the month with
most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Lake Quarles, you could also stop by beautiful Hattons Pond, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Staunton-Waynesboro
for sure. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Walnut Hills Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and there's some flowing water nearby, Falling Rock Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here.

 | Well me and my family have been going to Sharando Lake ever since I was born and we havn't gone anywhere else I love sherando and I can't wait to go back for another memorable camping weekend!...As close to perfect a camping experience as you can get: 1) Private, secluded, spacious campsites 2)access to flush toilets and showers, 3) a breathtakingly beautiful lake/swim area 4)hiking trails. WORD OF CAUTION: in-season, all sites are snapped up by Thurday noon for the weekend. Come on Sunday for best selection or before Thursday if you want a shot at a campsite.
