You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Powell Lake. Lakes are brilliant; Bigler Mill Pond is a lake that's next to Powell Lake; why not check out Powell Dam if you're here. Powell Lake is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally       July, that's the one that rains the most, and April on the other hand is the driest. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the James River Trail, and Ferry Point is not far at all. Camping is available at Williamsburg/Colonial KOA, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the College Run Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Powell Lake you can take a hike along the Lower Chippokes Creek Trail, and the friendly folks of Virginia                  Beach-Norfolk-Newport News like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Country Hearth Inn Williamsburg is a pleasant place to get some rest. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Parkway/Historic Area is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; you're almost certainly into lakes, Skimino Pond is one of those nearby. Summer at Powell Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
