On a wonderful day at Porridge Pot you can take a hike along the Turkey Neck Trail, and a brilliant close by hotel is Tappahannock-Days Inn Downtown. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Porridge Pot, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows at Porridge Pot during the wintertime regularly dip into       the 20's. Heritage Park Resort is a delightful local campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Warsaw is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Westmoreland State Park is a great campground nearby, and the Big Meadow Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. If the weather is wonderful, you obtain a magnificent sight of Bald Eagle Hill from Porridge Pot.
