Go to Plunkett Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you're here, you might as well stop by Dark Hollow, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Barbours Creek. Quality Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest, and camping at Grindstone - George Washington National Forest is always a magnificent experience. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Jumping Run Creek is a stream you can check out while here; at Plunkett Lake you can

| | make out Catawba Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Dragon Tooth Trail is always a glorious adventure; you'll meet a lot of people from Roanoke here. Hanging Rock Golf Club is a tremendous golf course close by, and if time allows, Booker T Washington National Monument is a national park worth stopping at. than a day at, Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a wonderful local campground, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the North Mountain Trail. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here
at Plunkett Lake. Mason Cove is a pleasant place to check out, and there are brilliant locations to look at along the Trout Creek Appalachian Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the
Blue Ridge Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Craig Creek, and after a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Plunkett Lake commonly tend to be in the
80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Plunkett Lake. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more exciting
stuff to do here at Plunkett Lake. Plunkett Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
