This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Chrystal Lake since you're here at Placid Lake; it's close by; you can take a little spree to Placid Lake Dam since you're here at Placid Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Placid Lake a wet place; August is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. Summertime at Placid Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun       is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Placid Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area next to Placid Lake has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Dahlgren, and you can go for a hike on the Turkey Neck Trail. Don't forget to take a magnificent little tour to Mattox Creek, and Placid Lake is a good site                  to visit for more than one day, Leedstown Camping Ground is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Placid Lake without first going for a hike along the Broomstraw Trail, and Monroe Bay Campground is a brilliant local campground. Colonial Beach-Days Inn On The Potomac is a great site to get some rest, and Burnt House is reasonably close. Nearby lakes?
